GJC in talks with new academic partner from Indonesia
General de Jesus College today held another virtual meeting with a university in Indonesia (Universitas Muhammadiyah Luwuk) to discuss possible partnership and collaboration.
The meeting, which took place on March 25th, tackled a wide range of activities aimed at enriching the learning experience of students and faculty from both institutions.
Representatives from both institutions engaged in productive discussions focusing on several key areas of potential collaboration that include joint research initiatives, the sharing of best practices in teaching and curriculum development, reciprocal campus visits, opportunities for cultural exchange and promotion, the exchange of guest lectures, faculty exchange programs, and student exchange opportunities.
GJC, in particular, highlighted its strategic goal of expanding its global academic reach. This initiative, they emphasized, is driven by a commitment to providing its students and faculty with enriching international experiences and collaborations that broaden their perspectives and enhance their academic development. The potential partnership with UML aligns perfectly with this strategic objective.
While specific details regarding the partnership are still under discussion, the meeting concluded with a positive outlook on the potential for a mutually beneficial collaboration. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm about the possibilities and agreed to continue discussions to formalize the partnership in the near future. Further announcements regarding the partnership’s development are expected in the coming weeks.
