The plight of San Isidro’s youth, who had nowhere to go for secondary education after World War II, was the prime factor that led to the founding of General de Jesus Academy. It opened in June 1946 and became General de Jesus College in 1997.
With excellence as one of its core values, the school submitted its High School program to voluntary accreditation in 2002. Its application was approved by the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities-Accrediting Agency, Inc.(ACSCU-AAI). On February 16-20, 2004 the High School was granted Level I Three-Year Accreditation Status.
2004 – Level I Three-Year Accreditation Status.

2012 – Level II Five-Year Re-Accreditation Status.
