One of the most meaningful highlights of the Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony 2026 was the Lighting of the Candle of Wisdom, led by Dr. Jeffrey P. Franco and Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Ravela, together with Dr. Bernadette O. Gallardo and Dr. Michael P. Fronda.
A Light Every Future Educator Carries
As the flame was passed from one pre-service teacher to another while Dr. Arlene S. Garcia offered the Prayer for the Lighting of the Candle, the ceremony symbolized the light of wisdom, knowledge, and hope that every future educator is called to carry. More than a tradition, it served as a reminder that teachers are instruments of learning, inspiring minds and illuminating the path for future generations.
