Stay Safe, GJCians! Letโ€™s Prevent the Spread of Chickenpox! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›

General de Jesus College (GJC) reminds all students, parents, faculty, and staff to remain vigilant and practice preventive measures against chickenpox (varicella), a highly contagious viral infection.

How to Prevent Chickenpox

โœ… Get Vaccinated โ€“ Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent chickenpox.

โœ… Practice Proper Hygiene โ€“ Wash your hands regularly with soap and water.

โœ… Avoid Close Contact โ€“ Stay away from individuals who have chickenpox or show symptoms.

โœ… Recognize the Symptoms โ€“ Watch for fever, fatigue, and an itchy, blister-like rash.

โœ… Stay Home When Sick โ€“ Students and employees with suspected chickenpox should avoid attending school and seek medical advice.

โœ… Inform the School โ€“ Notify your class adviser, immediate supervisor, or school clinic of suspected or confirmed cases.

โš ๏ธ IMPORTANT REMINDER: Chickenpox can spread even before the rash appears. Individuals with chickenpox should remain at home until all blisters have dried and crusted over, or follow the advice of their healthcare provider.

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’› At GJC, protecting the health and well-being of every learner and employee is a shared responsibility.

Together, let us maintain a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment through awareness, prevention, and responsible action.
